Volunteers are the backbone of the Wapping Fair.
Come out and join the fun while helping the South Windsor community.

The Wapping Fair needs more than 20 volunteers at all times to provide a quality, safe fair for all those that attend. Many groups, including the South Windsor Teen Center, Local Boy Scouts, Police explorers and La Leche League provided invaluable assistance to the fair.

Volunteers are needed during the Wapping Fair in the following areas:

  • Admissions
  • Grounds
  • Ride Ticket Sales
  • Food Tent
  • Overseeing Exhibits & Animals
  • Volunteer Benefits:
    Individuals
    • Admission into the fair that day
    • Food script for one meal at the Wapping Fair food booth upon completion of four hour shift

      •
    • Invitation to post fair volunteer Hometown Buffet appreciation dinner

    Community Groups
    Community groups may receive commercial booth space for their efforts.

    Businesses
    Can your business provide two or four people for a four hour shift? If so, your business will receive free publicity by having:

    • your employees wear company apparel
    • a sign displaying your company name in the area you are working

    In addition, your employees will receive:

    • free admission into the fair the day they volunteer
    • food script for a meal at the Wapping Fair food booth after their shift is over
    • invitation to post fair volunteer pizza party

    Companies must sign up by August 31, 2007.
    Shifts given on first come, first serve basis.

    Days/Hours Needed:
    Thursday, 9/6, 6pm- 10pm
    Friday, 9/7, 6pm-11pm
    Saturday, 9/8, 11am-11pm
    Sunday, 9/9, 10am-6pm
